ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak penerapan teknologi Video Assistant Referee (VAR) dalam sepak bola dengan
metode literature review, yang mencakup analisis berbagai penelitian terkait. Fokus kajian ini adalah pada
pengaruh VAR terhadap keputusan wasit, dinamika pertandingan, persepsi penggemar, serta aspek bisnis sepak
bola. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa VAR secara signifikan meningkatkan keadilan dan akurasi keputusan, serta
mengurangi bias terhadap tim tuan rumah. Dari perspektif bisnis, VAR berkontribusi pada peningkatan pendapatan
melalui hak siar, penjualan tiket, dan merchandise, serta menarik minat sponsor baru. Namun, tantangan seperti
biaya operasional yang tinggi dan gangguan terhadap ritme permainan tetap menjadi perhatian. Kajian ini
memberikan wawasan tentang manfaat VAR dalam meningkatkan keadilan pertandingan dan potensi bisnis,
sekaligus menyoroti tantangan dalam implementasinya.
