Abstract

Inventory management is an essential aspect in supporting the smooth operation of a company. PT Sun Kertas Prima, a paper distribution company, faces challenges in recording and controlling stock that are still carried out manually, which may lead to data inconsistencies, delays in information, and difficulties in decision-making. This study aims to design a web-based inventory information system that can improve efficiency and accuracy in inventory management. The system development method applied is agile, with an iterative and collaborative approach between the development team and users. The research stages include requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system is designed using web-based programming languages with an integrated database to support stock-in and stock-out recording, inventory reporting, and item availability notifications. The results show that the developed web-based inventory information system facilitates recording processes, accelerates information access, and enhances inventory data accuracy. By applying the agile method, the system can be developed flexibly according to user needs and provides added value in the form of operational efficiency and managerial decision-making support at PT Sun Kertas Prima.
